Scheduling a TravelPass: UTC, Time Zones and the 30-Day Window

Quick answer

A scheduled TravelPass uses a future UTC start no more than 30 days ahead at checkout. Convert your intended local time to UTC before entering it, check whether the calendar date changes, and review the saved start. The 30-day scheduling window is separate from the pass's granted duration.

Convert the intended time before entering it

Suppose you want access at 17:30 in a location whose offset at that moment is UTC+05:30. That corresponds to 12:00 UTC on the same date. If a different offset crosses midnight, the UTC date can be the previous or following date.

Use the offset that applies on the intended travel date. Do not assume your current laptop time zone and destination time zone are identical.

Check the checkout window separately

For an illustrative checkout at 12:00 UTC on 23 October 2026, the 30-day upper scheduling limit is 12:00 UTC on 22 November 2026. The chosen time must also still be in the future when checkout is validated.

This rule is about how far ahead the start can be booked. It does not mean every purchase grants thirty days. One Week Away: Choosing a Seven-Day TravelPass shows a seven-day quote with its own shorter access duration.

Review what the account actually records

The current form treats its schedule input as UTC. Check the date and time you selected before paying, then verify the saved purchase state. Do not assume that changing the laptop clock or travelling to a new time zone will rewrite that saved choice.

Start Now or Start Later? Choosing a TravelPass Start Mode compares manual activation if your timing remains uncertain. If payment confirms later than the scheduled start, the current flow starts the full validity at confirmation. For an already paid schedule you need to change, use Your Trip Dates Changed: What to Check Before Activating rather than assuming an edit feature exists.

Common questions

How should I schedule ALightVPN TravelPass for my local departure time?

Convert the intended moment to UTC and check whether the date changes before entering the schedule. Create your ALightVPN account to choose the future TravelPass start with that conversion in hand.

How far ahead can I schedule ALightVPN TravelPass?

The selected future start must be no more than 30 days ahead at checkout. Sign up at ALightVPN to review that window and select the TravelPass timing that fits your trip.

Does scheduling ALightVPN TravelPass automatically grant thirty days?

No. Scheduling controls the start; the quote controls granted validity. Start with an ALightVPN account to compare requested days, price and granted days before choosing the schedule.

What if payment confirms after my scheduled ALightVPN TravelPass start?

The current ALightVPN TravelPass flow starts the full validity at confirmation rather than consuming an unpaid period. Visit ALightVPN to review the actual dates recorded in your account after purchase.
